Awards

Carole MacDonald Award

This award was established in the name of Carole MacDonald who, in 1971, led the Organization of what has today become the Emergency Nurses Association of Ontario (ENAO).  

ENAO awards up to four ENAO members $250.00 towards continuing education in emergency nursing.  Applicants must be a member for one year and may recieve one award every three years.

Diane Dixon Degree Award

This award was established in 1999 to promote and reward an ENAO member working towards further education at the degree level.

ENAO awards two applicants $500.00 to promote and reward ENAO members working towards furthering education at the degree level. Funds are to be applied to University courses leading to a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. 

 Applicants must be a member for two consecutive years.  Members can receive a maximum of one award every three years.


ENAO Masters Award

This award was established in 1999 to promote and reward an ENAO member working towards further education at the Masters, Doctoral degree level of nursing.


ENAO awards one applicant in the amount of $1000.00 to promote and reward an ENAO member working towards further education at the Masters, Doctoral or Practitioners level of Nursing. Funds to be applied to university courses within a masters, PhD or Nurse Practitioner Emergency Care program in Nursing. Applicants must be a member for three years. Members can receive one award once every three years.
